TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Recommended Minimum Performance Standards for cdma2000 Spread Spectrum Mobile Stations

TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Recommended Minimum Performance Standards for cdma2000® Spread Spectrum Mobile Stations

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (September 24, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45.5 Engineering Committee on Spread Spectrum Digital Technology -- Mobile and Personal Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for document TIA-98-H-1 initially titled "Recommended Minimum Performance Standards for cdma2000® Spread Spectrum Mobile Stations".

TR-45.5 is developing guidelines for a new point release which provides technical revisions to the MPS documents for cdma2000® 1x MS and BS, cdma2000® HRPD AT and AN, and SVDO AT. In addition, the test procedures for multiple problematic tests have been clarified."

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: mobile phone manufacturers and users.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
